In the video, the Dolphin can be seen performing its signature dips and twists in the water. Another actress Shraddha Kapoor too seemed to be excited about Dolphins’ return to Marine Drive in Mumbai and shared an article about it.
Disha Patni shared news about Dolphin sightings near Bandra-Worli sea link and captioned it ‘Planet Earth is Reviving’.
These Dolphins which have been sighted are known as Indian Ocean Humpback dolphins and as per marine life experts; they are an integral part of Mumbai’s coastline.
In recent years, these Dolphins were rarely seen due to extensive fishing activities and movement of container and passenger ships near to Mumbai coastline.
But amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, commercial fishing and shipping activity has seen a sharp drop and therefore the Dolphins have started approaching the shoreline as there is no imminent threat.
