The name ‘Kunal Kamra’ has once again grabbed headlines. Before delving into the fresh incident, let’s get some background information. Few days ago, Comedian Kunal Kamra, was banned by four Indian airlines (IndiGo, SpiceJet, Air India and GoAir) for allegedly harassing Republic TV journalist Arnab Goswami in an Indigo Flight.

Among the airlines that have placed ban on Kunal Kamra, one of the airlines is Air India. Recently, Air India committed a big mistake by not allowing another person named Kunal Kamra (not comedian Kunal Kamra) to board the flight. The person named Kunal Kamra, whose ticket was cancelled, happens to be a US resident, who was on visit to India and was trying board a Jaipur-Mumbai flight of Air India.

Air India Rectifies its Error:

On repeated requests and presentation of different ID proofs by Kunal Kamra (not comedian Kunal Kamra), Air India Officials realized their mistake and soon issued a new ticket to him and allowed him to board the flight. On this entire incident, Air India spokesperson clarified that Comedian Kunal Kamra’s name has been put in their ‘No-fly’ list and thus the ticket with this name got automatically cancelled in the system.

Comedian Kunal Kamra’s Reaction:

On knowing about this incident, Kunal Kamra took to Twitter to give his reaction. He simply called it ‘Collateral Damage’. In military parlance, collateral damage is “any death, injury, or other damage inflicted that is an unintended result of military operations”.
