Just when the nation was mourning the death of legendary actor Irrfan Khan, another bad news hit the wire, that veteran actor Rishi Kapoor passed away. 67-year old Rishi Kapoor passed away at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, Mumbai on 30th April, 2020.
Earlier, Rishi Kapoor’s brother Randhir Kapoor had confirmed that he had been admitted to the hospital on 29th April 2020. But the reason for his admission was not known. As you must be aware, Rishi Kapoor was battling cancer since more than a year.
Brief Timeline of Rishi Kapoor’s Fight Against Cancer:
Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. He even temporarily shifted to US to get the best medical care.
After getting treatment in US for around a year, Rishi Kapoor recovered and returned to India in September 2019. Soon after, in February 2020, he was admitted to the hospital on account of an infection, but it was known that he recovered from that as well. On 30th April, 2020, news came out that he is no more.

Hailing from the Kapoor family, Rishi Kapoor’s first film in lead role was ‘Bobby’.
Earlier he had appeared in few films of R K Productions as child artist.
During the 1970s Rishi Kapoor mesmerised the Indian audience and gave several super hit films. In 1980, he married actress Neetu Singh.
They have two children, Ranbir Kapoor and Ridhima Kapoor.
His autobiography titled ‘Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Uncensored’ was released in the year 2017.
During his illustrious career spanning almost five decades, he was conferred several awards including Filmfare, Zee Cine Awards, Screen etc.
