Veteran Business Stalwart Ratan Tata has pledged to contribute Rs 500 crore in the war against Coronavirus. This announcement was made by Ratan Tata himself through a tweet on 28th March 2020. He stated that the Tata Trusts will provide Rs 500 crore help in the ‘war against Coronavirus’.

The fund will be used to buy safety equipment for health workers, testing kits for infected patients, to develop modular treatment facility for infected persons and training health workers and common people.
Ratan Tata added that, COVID 19 is the toughest challenge which human race has ever come across. He assured that just like in past, Tata Trusts and Tata Group companies will always be ready to contribute for the national cause. He also expressed his gratitude for those who are risking their lives to fight this pandemic.
Whenever there is crisis of this magnitude, the nation always looks up to its business leaders to come forward and contribute. In this regard, Indian Business leaders have always risen to the challenge and have done their best. Earlier, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra offered his company’s resorts to be used as isolation wards.
