As per a report by Chinese local media, owing to the threat of coronavirus, people are forced to stay in their house and have been advised to refrain from moving out for work or leisure activities. It is believed that some couples have not been able to handle this change and are getting into heated arguments with each other on petty issues. This problem has escalated so high that many couples have filed for divorce.

Whereas if such trend of increasing divorce rate emerges in other countries as well, then it will raise serious question on the institution of marriage itself, which is based on the core principle of togetherness.
