As you must be aware, number of coronvirus positive cases in India has crossed the 450 mark.
India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd. has now rolled up his sleeves and has joined the battle against this dreaded virus. He has prepared a Master Plan which lists out actions to be taken and resources to be pooled for this purpose.
Whole Reliance Group Together will Fight Against Coronavirus:
The Master Plan laid out by Mukesh Ambani envisages to synergise the combined strengths of Reliance Industries, Reliance Foundation, Reliance Retail, Jio and Reliance Life Sciences and all the 6,00,000 members of the Reliance family.
Monetary Donation and Production of Face Masks:
Reliance Industries Ltd. will make a donation of Rs 5 crore to Maharashtra government’s relief fund. A Reliance Group company will also scale up the production capacity of face masks to 100,000 per day so that the health workers across the country don’t have to face any shortage.
Free Fuel and Free Meals in Special Cases:
Mukesh Ambani’s company will provide free fuel to emergency vehicles carrying Coronavirus patients and free meals across various cities, to those whose livelihood has been affected due to the outbreak.
India’s first Covid-19 hospital:
Reliance Foundation along with Brihamumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has built India’s first Covid-19 hospital. A 100 bedded center at Seven Hills Hospital, Mumbai and an isolation facility in Lodhivali, Maharashtra has also been setup by Reliance Group.
Steady Supply of Groceries through Reliance Retail Outlets:
The company will maintain a steady supply of essential food items at all its 736 retail outlets to ensure the citizens that there is no need to stock up things in anticipation of a lockdown.
Other Industry Stalwarts have Also Come Forward to Contribute in Fight Against Coronavirus:
Anand Mahindra, the chairperson of the Mahindra Group, has announced the manufacturing facilities of his company are chalking out plans to make ventilators. He has also offered to provide Mahindra Holiday resorts as isolation centres.
Going by various reports from epidemiologists, it is highly likely that India is already in Stage 3 of transmission.
