With Ramayan and Mahabharat, audience have also raised demand for re-telecast of Indian Superhero TV Serial ‘Shaktimaan’. As we all know, Shatimaan is the first Indian superhero who became a household name during late 1990s. It was very popular among kids and had a successful run for 8 long years from 1997 – 2005.
With the demand for airing Shaktimaan rising, Mukesh Khanna who played the lead role in the serial, spoke to a publication house and mentioned that soon the sequel to Shaktimaan will be announced. He further added that they have been working on it for the past 3 years. The objective is to make the sequel which is in line with contemporary technology and also upholds Indian values.
Mukesh Khanna stated that ever since telecast of Shaktimaan ended in 2005, the curiosity among viewers as to what happens next, has been growing and demand for its sequel too has risen with passage of time.
It will be interesting to see whether amid lockdown, Prasar Bharti will re-telecast Shaktimaan just like Ramayan and Mahabharat, or else Shaktimaan fans would have to wait for the sequel which shall be announced only after the coronavirus crisis is over.
