Since the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, there has been a debate in Bollywood about nepotism. Many star kids including Alia Bhatt are being trolled on social media.
Recently, the trolls targeted Bollywood actor Rahul Bhat thinking he was Alia Bhatt’s brother, after which the actor had to come forward to give clarification. He tweeted that he is not Alia Bhatt’s brother.
It is to be noted that Rahul Bhatt is the son of Mahesh Bhatt and his first wife Kiran Bhatt and brother of Pooja Bhatt. Rahul Bhatt is Alia Bhatt’s half-brother but keeps away from the Bhatt family.
Due to some confusion the trollers started thinking of ‘Heena’ actor ‘Rahul Bhat’ as Alia’s half-brother ‘Rahul Bhatt’ and trolled him in the name of nepotism. As both of them have the same name, in many tweets, Rahul Bhat was being tagged and trolled by them. Rahul Bhat responded to this.
He wrote in response to trolls, “If u call Alia Bhatt a product of #Nepotism then you are harming the entire debate.She is a brilliant ,gifted actor,she is here because she is capable of Carrying a film on her shoulders
Ps- I ain’t her brother so don’t tag me nonsense without verifying who it is u r referring to”

However, many people did not like the praise of Alia Bhatt. People started targeting him again.

One user has accused Rahul that he wants to work in Mahesh Bhatt’s film and that is the reason he is praising Alia.

Talking about Rahul Bhat, he got fame and recognition by playing the role of Sameer in the serial Serial ‘Heena’.
He has also been seen in ‘Yeh Mohabbat Hai’.
Rahul switched from acting to production. He produced serials like ‘Meri Doli Tere Angana’, ‘Chukar Mere Man Ko’ and ‘Tum Dena Saath Mera’.
After this, in 2014, he made a comeback in acting with Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Ugly’.
Rahul has been seen in films like ‘Fitoor’, ‘Jai Gangajal’ and ‘Daas Dev’.
His most recent film was Section 375.
